What is GDPR and how does it affect me?
From Our Toolkit
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in May 2018 and outlines how you can keep and use personal data on visitors or audiences. If you are planning on using this sort of information for any activities, you will need to ensure you abide by this legal framework.
To find out more about GDPR read this blog post from Share Museums East or read this Success Guide from the Association of Independent Museums. Although these are both museum based resources the principles of working within the GDPR guidelines are applicable to all organisations.
