An introduction to evaluation

It is best practice to embed evaluation in your day-to-day work. This need not be an onerous task but does need to be thought through carefully to ensure you are collecting the right information in the right ways for your organisation.

SHARE Museums East has produced a useful introduction to evaluation which covers why it is important, how to plan your activity, a summary of evaluation methods including an explanation of key terms, and how to interpret and communicate your findings.

Arts Council England recommend using their Inspiring Learning For All framework which includes a series of recognised Generic Learning Outcomes and Generic Social Outcomes.
