What this might look like for you:

• you are looking to improve your collections care
• your collections are stored in a variety of places
• your collections are stored in different types of packing material and boxes
• you have volunteers or an individual looking after the collection

Suggested activity:

• Make sure you are aware of the range of risks to your collections
• Make sure you are packing and moving items in line with best practice
• Review your storage spaces
• Undertake the Benchmarks in Collections Care self-assessment – basic level, and work towards the required standard
