Analysing and presenting your data
From Our Toolkit
Once you have collected your data it is important to know how to analyse it correctly so you can present your case.
Data analysis
The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) have produced information on how to analyse both quantitative (numerical) information and qualitative (non-numerical) information for evaulation purposes.
Presenting your findings
The way you will present your findings will depend on your intended audience and the types of data you have collected. Evaluation Support Scotland’s Stats & Stories in community settings: a guide to blending different types of evidence in evaluation reports publication provides advice and guidance on how to approach this as does NCVO’s guidance on how to write an evaluation plan.
