Volunteer Agreements
From Our Toolkit
It is best practice to use a Volunteer Agreement as part of your volunteer management. It is a useful document to have as it is a written record which sets out the expectations, roles and responsibilities on both sides. The agreement is not a contract and is not legally binding and care should be taken not to imply either.
NCVO’s Involving Volunteers provides clear guidance on what to include in a Volunteer Agreement as well as explaining how to avoid creating a contract of employment.
