The Library and Museum of Freemasonry

Based in the headquarters of English freemasonry, this collection includes items relating to individual lodges connected to sports including rowing, athletics, rugby and membership information about English sportsmen who were freemasons including Sir Alf Ramsey, Jack Beresford, Harold Abrahams and Wally Hammond . A list of masonic sportsmen is available as a pdf. Masonic membership is often an unexplored element of a sportsman’s life.
