National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC)

The NSIC collection is now held at the National Paralympic Heritage Centre and contains over 800 boxes of medical files, x-rays, and similar of people who have been treated at the spinal unit (only deceased records). The records go back to the 1940s, however there is little related to 1948, but records are associated to 1960 and 1964. There is a collection of material that belonged to John and Robin Irvine and it is believed Robin competed at the 1948 Games. The collection includes images and objects collected by Sir Ludwig Guttman from the 1964 Games.
