International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS)

The International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) is one of the world’s leading organisations for the development of Para sports. Alongside a membership of more than 80 countries around the world, IWAS is passionate about offering as many competition opportunities as possible for athletes with physical impairments.

The IWAS collection is looked after by the National Paralympic Heritage Trust and is predominantly concerned with International competitions including the Paralympic Games. The collection includes and extensive photographic archive, film archive, and many objects which chart the progression of the Games from the 1940s to the present day.
