Sporting Heritage is a not-for-profit community interest company who works to support the collection, preservation, access and research of sporting heritage in the UK. Sporting heritage is not just medals and trophies: it is anything that tells the story of a sport and its communities: this could be equipment, financial records, oral history recordings, songs or photographs.

The aim of this survey is to establish a clear picture of sporting collections relating to National Governing Bodies and their affiliate organisations. By doing this, we will be able to share and celebrate stories and histories of this sporting heritage with a wide range of audiences as well as help to promote the fantastic work that NGBs and other affiliate organisations do to help preserve the heritage of their sports. More broadly, we will be creating a space on our website with information, templates and guides to help you look after your sporting heritage.

The results of this survey will go towards creating an entry on the Sporting Heritage website for your organisation and you will become part of the UK’s sporting heritage story!

Many thanks for taking the time to complete this survey.
