Shropshire Archives
Shropshire Archives has a number of records and archives relating to sport in the county. The collection includes material from a number of different sources. Some estate collections, include sporting memorabilia or diaries relating to sporting activities, for example within the Rouse Boughton of Downton Hall Family and Estate Collection (catalogue number 6683/3/370). There are also records of regimental sports in the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry Collection (6005). Several local clubs (including bowling, tennis, cycling, gliding) have deposited minutes and other records.
There are also collections of photographs; digital images of Shrewsbury Town Football Club are available on the online catalogue (X8276) and there are photographs of various sporting clubs and activities in the general photographic collection (PH/S/14/14).
