Robert Holland Collection

My interest is in the history of Lawn Tennis, particularly it’s early days and antecedents such as the game of Pelota or Lawn Rackets devised by Augurio Perera and his friend Harry Gem as early as 1859.

I collect mainly books on tennis and related racquet sports along with some ephemera. Press photographs of players, newspaper/magazine cuttings, tournament programmes also feature in the collection. I have also a small collection of racquets.
