Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum

The Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum stewards Wales’ oldest Regiment spanning over 300 years. Sports were an integral part of the Regiment for both morale, welfare, and competition. Our sporting collection includes trophies, medals, score cards, photographs, and sportswear from a plethora of sporting pursuits. From pedestrianism, boat racing, cricket, boxing, football, and more the Museum cares for and preserves a significant sporting collection.

Visitors to the Museum can see a section of items from our sporting collection as well as explore some notable individuals across the sporting world who also made a name for themselves as soldiers in the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
