Cardiff City FC Museum: Building a Home for Bluebirds’ Heritage
Cardiff City FC and the Cardiff City FC Community Foundation are working together to create the club’s first dedicated museum — a space to celebrate, preserve, and share the Bluebirds’ story.
The Remembering the Past, Preserving the Future project is bringing together fans, former players, and local volunteers to collect memorabilia, oral histories, and photographs that capture the spirit and social history of the club.
With the support of museum professionals and community partners, the team is now setting up a dedicated collections management system (Modes Complete) and a secure museum store at Cardiff City Stadium. This crucial groundwork will enable proper cataloguing, care, and future exhibition of the club’s growing collection.
As the project develops, Cardiff City FC Museum aims to become a living archive — shaped by supporters and the wider community — and a lasting legacy for future generations of fans.
