As we celebrated the Art of Sporting Heritage during February 2022, we are joined by Wrexham based artist Liam Stokes-Massey.

In this episode, originally recorded in 2019 for Podcast Pêl-droed, our podcaster-in residence, Russell Todd drops by the Shepherd’s Hut at Tŷ Pawb in Wrexham, where Liam Stokes-Massey spends his time drawing incredible pencil art, including of Welsh footballers.

They discuss how a quick drawing of Gareth Bale on the morning of the Slovakia match at Euro 2016 kickstarted the interest in his artwork, and explore Liam’s wider inspirations, future plans and exhibitions.
