The Community Grant received from Sporting Heritage, and supported by Microform Ltd allowed Falkirk Football Heritage Trust to progress with our ongoing project to digitise Falkirk Football Club’s historical board minutes.

Volume 5 of the club minutes, covering the period 1939 to 1950, were published to coincide with National Sporting Heritage Day 2023. We remain on track to digitise and publish the remaining volumes in time for the Clubs 150th anniversary in 2026.

In addition to publishing the latest volume of minutes we also organised an ‘open day’ at the
Falkirk Stadium to coincide with National Sporting Heritage Day on Sept 30. Fans were invited along to see a series of panels the Trust had designed to celebrate some of the major events and prominent players in the history of the club. These panels are on permanent display in the Stadium’s hospitality lounges and the open day gave all fans the opportunity to see them. We also arranged for the Club historian to give an illustrated talk on the history of the club from its foundation up to the late 1960’s. The event was publicised on social media and on our website and generated a great deal of interest and was certainly enjoyed by those fans who turned up on the day.
