In Conversation with Roald Bradstock

As part of the Art of Sporting Heritage Month 2022, we were delighted to be joined by Roald Bradstock, “The Olympic Picasso”

As an Olympic athlete, representing Great Britain and the US as a Javelin thrower, and as an Olympic artist with a wealth of experience in delivering art programmes across various Olympic Games around the world, Roald Bradstock is uniquely qualified, and exemplifies the connection between #SportAndArt.

Our Education lead, Derek Peaple explores this creative connection with Roald, and considers the opportunities it offers, reflecting on the original Olympic vision of Pierre de Coubertin, and the values and disciplines common to both athletes and artists.
