Talking Kit Collaboration - Newport County A.F.C. and Goldie Lookin Chain

As part of #SportAndFashion month 2025, podcast host Russell is joined by Billy Webb, from Goldie Lookin Chain to discuss the band’s collaborations with Newport County, first, as sponsors in 2004, then as kit designers in 2021.

They also discuss the role of replica kits as part of fan identity and expression; and how kit designs can help root a club and its colours in a sense of place, which in turn can be seen as a an ‘antidote’ to the corporatisation and globalisation of some football club brands.
