Regional Co-ordinator for the East of England: Elizabeth Edwards

Elizabeth was first introduced to Sporting Heritage through her love of football generally, and Ipswich Town FC specifically.‎ A director of Ipswich Town plc, and Chair of their Supporters Club, she has also assumed responsibility for the club’s own Archive Project, including physical and online collections.

She took a long-planned early retirement in 2014 after a 30-year career in the insurance industry. A qualified actuary, she specialised in marine, energy and aerospace businesses.

In the East of England region, our objective is to help organisations and individuals to share their knowledge, expertise and passion for sporting heritage.  We will bring people together, online and in real life, so they can benefit from wider experience.  We know that the public reacts positively and engages strongly with sporting heritage, so we aim to increase awareness throughout the region of the many collections, stories and memories.
