Sporting Heritage Mentoring Opportunity

Would you benefit from being able to talk through an idea, to ask for help to approach a challenge or would you appreciate advice from someone outside of your organisation who understands the sporting and heritage world? If so, then the new Sporting Heritage mentoring offer could be for you.

As a support organisation, Sporting Heritage talks to lots of individuals and organisations every month about how they can look after or work with their sporting stories whether that is helping to remove them from risk, recognising their importance or planning ways to engage with new audiences. We recognise the need and value of sharing knowledge, skills and networks across the sector in a more structured way so are pleased to announce the recent launch of the new Sporting Heritage mentoring opportunity on National Sporting Heritage Day 2024.

If you or your organisation would benefit from mentoring, we can offer an introductory hour of support with a member of the Sporting Heritage team. As part of the session we will discuss your area of need as well as agree on the format of any further support if required. This could include:

  • Longer term structured mentoring relationship with an suitably experienced mentor from the sector
  • Signposting to resources
  • Introducing to networks
  • Or something else appropriate for your situation

We ask that before you enquire about this offer that you read the Mentoring section on the Sporting Heritage Toolkit so you understand what is involved.

To help us prepare for your session please download, complete and return the enquiry form below to [email protected]. Once we have received your form we will send you the link to book in your session.
