The Art of Sporting Heritage Month - launch event

Join us for the launch event for the inaugural Art of Sporting Heritage month. Find out about all the activity planned for the month and how you can get involved. The session also includes our opening panel discussion chaired by Imogen Gibbon from National Galleries Scotland who is joined by panellists: Belinda Scarlett, National Football Museum; Sally Bills, British Sporting Art Trust; Tilly Johnson, National Football Museum and practising artist; Gayle Rogers, academic and practising artist for a wide ranging conversation covering topics such as what sport and art means to us, where does sporting art fit within your organisation’s collections or within your body of work? What constitutes sporting art? How is participation is reflected in sporting art and how sporting art can record aspects relevant to the broader historical record.
