Sporting Heritage and Memory Loss
The Importance of Sporting Heritage

Sporting Heritage’s podcaster-in-residence, Russell Todd caught up with several of the 2019 delegates in Cardiff to produce the following podcast episodes.

From day one of the Summit, Richard McBrearty and Brigid Power discuss how their work – on the Football Memories Scotland project at the Scottish National Football Museum, and Rugby League Cares respectively – has used sporting heritage to help people experiencing different forms of memory loss.

In the second podcast recorded on day two of the Sporting Heritage Summit, Kenny McLean from the Jim Clark Motor Sport Museum in Duns and Vicky Hope-Walker from the National Paralympic Heritage Trust discuss how important the subject specific and Scottish sporting networks are to their sporting heritage work.
