Introduction to Podcasting

Podcasting is a fantastic way to get audiences to engage with your collection and the work that you do, but getting started can be daunting. These webinar recordings look at how to get your sporting heritage podcast off the ground and are suitable for everyone, including complete beginners.

Introduction to Podcasting: Record, Edit and Share was an interactive session, with top tips from Sporting Heritage CIC podcaster in residence, Russell Todd and heritage consultants Kate Turner and Belinda Scarlett from our Digital Stories project team.

Basic Podcast Editing focused on the basic elements of editing a podcast with the software Audacity. It will help you more confidently edit your raw audio into a podcast, complete with introductory theme tune, voiceover and fades.

Also included, is a companion, in-depth tutorial film about recording and editing a podcast using the free software mentioned in the webinars, such as Cleanfeed and Audacity..
