We had a great day in Edinburgh on Friday 26th September as we focused on Collections at Risk for the next in our series of in-person study days.
This networking day brought together case studies and discussions from across the sporting heritage sector as well as provided an insight into the work being done to remove collections from risk.
After an introduction to what makes causes a collection to become at risk, Dr Justine Reilly introduced the new Sporting Heritage UNESCO Intangible Heritage project. You can watch Justine’s presentation below:

Lianne Parry and Dr Karen Mailley from Hearts Heritage presented about their recent successful Maroon Mile project which links the history of the club with the heritage of the local area. To find out more about the project see the Maroon Mile pages on the Heart of Midlothian website. This was followed by a mini-tour of Tynecastle Park by Davy Allen and visit to the Hearts Museum.
