Sponsorship

National Lottery Heritage Fund

Every year we are joined by our amazing conference sponsors! Our delegates come from an eclectic mix of sectors and backgrounds and this is an amazing opportunity to share your products and services with them. 2020 was a difficult year and we fortunate to receive funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to allow us to remove the fee to delegates.

We were also delighted to welcome a number of valued sponsors in support of our work including:

The Creative Core was pleased to support the Sporting Heritage Conference this October. Our team enjoyed listening to the panellists discuss current developments and challenges in the sector and sharing best practise from some of the pioneering work taking place in the field of sporting heritage. As interpretation designers, we came away with some illuminating insights that we hope to reflect in our work, including on memory and reminiscence, art and education, community engagement, and telling hidden stories of sporting lives and achievements. In particular, we loved hearing about some of the amazing projects happening this year aimed at conserving and raising awareness of sporting heritage stories with wider audiences.

Virtual conferences are a new and necessary phenomenon this year, with many organisations and associations experimenting with the format often for the first time. We were very impressed with the smooth running of this year’s Sporting Heritage Conference and could appreciate the time and effort that clearly went into making it a worthwhile and convenient experience for delegates and panellists alike.

Core are interpretive design specialists experienced in the planning, design and delivery of unique visitor experiences for museums and heritage attractions. We are passionate about helping organisations realise the incredible potential of sporting heritage stories through engaging interpretation design.
