Manx National Heritage

Manx National Heritage look after some of the Isle of Man’s most special places, spaces and collections, including historic buildings, landscapes, archives and the Island’s national museum collections, including art, social history, archaeology and natural history.
On the Isle of Man we have a rich sporting heritage including the TT races and motorsport; cycling; cammag (an early type of hockey); the Manx Derby (one of the oldest horse races) and Joseph Pilates developed the Pilates method while an internee in the Isle of Man. We also have a collection of glass plate negatives which capture various sports and pastimes at First World War internment camps on the Isle of Man.
The website www.iMuseum.im is home to our digital collections with access to images, indexes and information from our museum, library and archives.
