Bobby Orr Hall of Fame

Bobby Orr Hall of Fame, 2, Bay Street, Parry Sound, Parry Sound District, Central Ontario, Ontario, P2A 1S3, Canada

The Bobby Orr Hall of Fame houses an impressive collection of sports memorabilia, equipment, ephemera, and trophies. The collection is divided into two main categories: objects connected to Bobby Orr and objects celebrating our many inductees.

Located within the Charles W. Stockey Centre in Parry Sound, Ontario, the Hall of Fame occupies a purpose-built space set against the stunning backdrop of the Georgian Bay. Bobby Orr was recognized as a superstar from an early age. Our collection traces his remarkable career, beginning with the Parry Sound Shamrocks, through his four years in the OHL, and culminating in his legendary 12-year NHL career.

As a Hall of Fame, we also host annual inductions to honor local athletes, builders, and teams. Our collection has grown to include objects from these inductees, helping us tell a broader story of sports history and heritage in Parry Sound.

Thanks to a recent major grant, the Hall of Fame has undergone a complete renovation of its exhibition space. This transformation has allowed us to expand our scope beyond Bobby Orr, placing greater focus on the region’s rich sports history, its connection to nature, and the local community.

Among the most celebrated objects in our collection are the stick and puck Bobby Orr used to score “The Goal” that won the Boston Bruins’ Stanley Cup victory in 1970.
