In the run up to the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 we were delighted to explore the rich heritage of women’s football in, and with, the host cities as part of the National Lottery Heritage Funded programme of activity for the tournament.

This video shows some of the ways we celebrated the heritage of women’s football in the city of Sheffield and the surrounding area; we engaged with key figures to discuss the significance of the tournament, the history of the women’s game, and presented the personal footballing stories we uncovered.
