In Conversation with Dr Gary James

In this episode, Verity Smith (Associate Consultant) at Sporting Heritage talks to Dr Gary James, an Honorary Research Fellow at De Montfort University. He has written extensively on football, and his research includes female participation and involvement in the sport.

Gary discusses the challenges and barriers that are still faced by women involved in football, his current work in Trafford as part of the Women’s Euros heritage activity (see pics at bottom of page), and his thoughts on the likely legacy of the 2022 tournament. #WEURO2022
