The network began in early 2021 and aims to support those working in or with a National Governing Body of Sport (NGBs). Members are often at the beginning or newly underway in the collection and preservation of their heritage or have heritage as just one part of a wider role.
Although the membership come from a wide range of sports the group are often facing the same challenges so at the meetings we discuss common issues, how people have overcome them and share good practice.
The group will operate through an e-discussion group, virtual meetings and, when restrictions allow, workshops run by members of the group, and physical study days. To join the network please email email@example.com with the subject heading “Heritage Champions Network”.
