Celebrating Disability and Women's Sports on National Sporting Heritage Day 2021

This episode from the ‘Sporting Heritage of Disability and Women’s Sports’ project, funded by Sport England, takes a look at how some of the National Governing Bodies of Sport are celebrating National Sporting Heritage Day on September 30th.

In it we hear from Caroline Ward from the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), Gilda Chambers from the Keep-Fit Association (KFA) and Patrick McGeough from Para Dance UK. They explain what activities and events they have planned for #NSHD2021, and how they want the day to be a launchpad over the longer term for their organisations, and the people who participate in their sports, to further explore their sporting heritage.

A bank of resources are available on the Sporting Heritage website to help you plan and publicise your #NSHD2021 activity. There is also a wealth of activities taking place too including community events around the country, Twitter takeovers, talks, exhibitions and much more.
