School holiday ART Activities Celebrate UEFA Women’s EURO 2022

Jessica Hartshorn

This year, UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 is the inspiration behind a free art workshops being hosted at Weston Park Museum during the summer holidays.

Families are invited to join illustrator, Jessica Hartshorn (artist in residence at Sporting Heritage CIC), at the museum to create their very own hanging banner to display in windows to show support for their favourite football team or country.

Using the museum’s local football collection and photographs of players as inspiration, attendees to the free workshop will create a vibrant hanging with a range of materials. Each session is aimed at families working together (children aged 5 – 11yrs) and will run for 45 minutes with booking in advance required.

Further details on the workshop and how to book tickets will be available soon on the museum’s website: https://www.sheffieldmuseums.org.uk/ and through Sporting Heritage on this page.

The workshop is one of many activities as part of the wider UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Summer of Celebration being held across the city in the lead up and during the tournament to build excitement and inspire people of all ages to feel involved. Sporting Heritage CIC is one of several organisations supporting the activities in Sheffield in the lead up to the games this summer.
